2023 Lectureship

Dr. Samuel Blackman, M.D., Ph.D., was our guest lecturer for the second year of the Sam Day Lectureship series at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Blackman is the founder and scientific director of Day One Biopharmaceuticals, a company focused on advancing drug development for pediatric cancers. Dr. Blackman discussed the challenges and opportunities in pediatric drug development and then spent a full day collaborating with the pediatric oncology team,  members of the Knight Cancer Research Institute, and the SDF Board. The Sam Day Lectureship has created opportunities for remarkable learning and collaboration within the pediatric oncology community in the Pacific Northwest.
